Progressive Democrats of America (PDA)

NC 01 and NC 03

Following is the initial response to Wade Hudson's 3/21/08 email:

I had to google your name before I answered as I didn't recognize the name. I was profoundly touched by your bio on your blog.

The answers to your questions:

Our chapter of PDA, Progressive Democrats of Beaufort County covers 2 CDs. Cong D 1 & 3. We have about 10 active members and 8 or 10 more who come to a peace vigil and have volunteered with the local Dem party for GOTV

CD1 is where I live (southern part of county), Butterfield's district (who is a shooin).CD 3 is where the majority of the PDA members live.

We are working hard on a GOTV campaign this year. We've had 2 training sessions in GOTV.We are sponsoring a forum for the two candidates running for Walter Jones' seat in CD3 and will work to get one of them elected.

I communicate with PDNC board members through email and 2 or 3 meetings per year. I think a listerv for all PDA members in our state would be ideal. We could join together for events

No, I am not aware of any CD bases groups.

We will campaign for Obama. thank you
