Substance Abuse

• (SER) Alcoholics Anonymous -- a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
• (ACT)Common Sense for Drug Policy -- "dedicated to expanding discussion on drug policy by resonating the voices of those raising questions about existing law and educating the public about alternatives to current policies."
• (ADV) Harm Reduction Coalition -- "committed to reducing drug-related harm among individuals and communities by initiating and promoting local, regional, and national harm reduction education, interventions, and community organizing."
• (SER) Health Information for Drug Users -- from the Harm Reduction coalition, information "to help drug users (and those who provide services to them) make rational, safer and informed decisions about drug use."
• (ADV) North American Syringe Exchange Network -- “dedicated to the creation, expansion and continued existence of syringe exchange programs as a proven method of stopping the transmission of blood borne pathogens in the injecting drug using community.”
