Our mission is to help transform the global social system by:

  1. establishing a new primary purpose for our society – that is, to promote our common good, nurture personal development, empower communities, and protect our environment;
  2. reforming our institutions, our culture, and ourselves to serve that purpose.

1:00 PM - Presentation of Possible Actions:

  • A - Continuing the Obama Movement: A Democratic Conversation
  • B - Transforming the Democratic Party
  • C - A Community of Home-Based Teams
  • D - A Network of Obama Home-Based Teams
  • E - Post-Election Debriefings
  • F - Promote “the Little Book for the Practice of Peace”
  • G - Information Debates
  • H - Community Dialogues with Elected Officials
  • I - A Million Member Monthly Mobilization
NOTE: The Possible Actions link leads to materials that explain these options. Please read, discuss, and reflect on them and "Nuts and Bolts" prior to the workshop.

1:15 PM - Questions concerning the Possible Actions.

1:30 PM - Evaluation of the Possible Actions.

2:30 PM - Develop Action Plans. If need be, form small groups composed of individuals interested in working on each action and set a time and place to meet later.

2:45 PM - Evaluation of this event.

3:00 PM - Adjournment.
